PREVENTION AND AWARENESS PROGRAMME

The organisation hosted two massive drug awareness campaigns during the International Drug Awareness week in Diepsloot and Rosettenville respectively. These two events went very well, especially the ‘Human Chain Campaign’ in Diepsloot where all the schools released their learners to join the campaign. We reached almost 2500 people for the two days.

STUDENTS PROGRAMME

SANCA Central Rand also boast a successful student experiential training programme. During the financial year under review this organisation accepted 19 students, mostly social work and social auxiliary work students into the programme. The primary objective of the programme is to assist the social service profession to address the shortage of professionals as well as to empower young people to be employable.

Apart from the organisation assisting them with on the job training, these students have contributed to the organisation immeasurably. The organisation would have struggled to respond to the requests for services like it had managed to do had it not been for these students.
